Who is responsible
PVexperts operates BestEssay.com and is the controller of the personal data processed through the website, your account and your orders. Every question or request about your data goes to support@bestessay.com.
Why we process your data
Each use of your data rests on one of four legal bases.
- Contract. Running your account and orders, emailing you about them and helping you with them through support.
- Legitimate interests. Taking payments safely, preventing fraud, handling support questions that fall outside an order, measuring how the website is used and, where the law allows it, sending promotional email.
- Consent. Promotional email, wherever the law requires consent for it. You can withdraw consent at any time, and every promotional email has an unsubscribe link.
- Legal obligation. Keeping payment and accounting records, and answering lawful requests from authorities.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, have it corrected, have it deleted, or restrict how we use it. You can ask to receive it in a portable format, and you can object to our use of it, including for direct marketing, which stops as soon as you ask.
Using your rights
Email support@bestessay.com from the address on your account and say which right you want to use. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. You will have our answer within one month, and a verified deletion request is completed within 14 days, apart from records the law requires us to keep.
Complaints
Tell us first, so we have the chance to put things right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, usually the one in the country where you live or work, or where you think the problem happened.
How long we keep data
Account and order records are kept no longer than 10 years after the account was last used, and verification material is deleted as soon as the check is done. Our own records of visits and order-form use are kept for 13 months, an email typed into an unfinished order form for up to 45 days, and marketing data until you unsubscribe.
Transfers outside Europe
Some of our providers process data outside your country and outside the European Economic Area. Those transfers rely on safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
