What you are actually paying for
Two people can order what looks like the same essay and get two different quotes, and the difference almost never comes down to the topic. The order form prices a paper on four things. The deadline you pick, the number of pages, the academic level (high school, undergraduate, master’s or PhD), and the quality level you choose (Standard, Premium or Platinum, explained fully on the prices page). A genetics essay and a poetry essay of the same length, level and deadline cost the same. A three page essay due in three hours costs more than the same three pages due in a week, because urgency is priced, not difficulty.
This matters when you are comparing quotes across sites or across your own drafts of the same order. If a quote looks high, the lever to pull is usually the deadline or the quality level, not the subject field. Add an academic level you did not need, say master’s when the class is undergraduate, and the price moves for no real reason. The live calculator will show you the effect of changing any one of these before you commit to anything, and it’s worth running the numbers twice with different deadlines side by side before you decide what you can live with.
Citation style, by contrast, costs nothing extra. APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard, Oxford, Vancouver, CSE, Turabian or another style named in your instructions, the writer follows whichever one you specify at no separate charge.
When the charge happens and what it buys
Payment happens once, at the point the order form has everything it needs. Paper type, academic level, page count, deadline and your instructions, and it shows you a final total before asking for card details. Nothing is charged while you’re still filling in fields, and no writer is assigned to your order until that payment clears.
What that payment buys is the first delivery of the essay by the deadline you chose, plus 14 days of free revisions after delivery if anything in the paper drifts from your instructions. It also buys you a direct line to the assigned writer through the message thread in your account, the only channel that reaches them. Support on WhatsApp or email can answer questions but can’t relay writing instructions the way that thread can.
What’s locked in once you pay is the scope you set on the form. If you decide afterward that you need double the pages, a different citation style entirely, or a topic change, that’s a new request priced on its own terms, not something the original payment covers. Add-ons like Top 10 Writers, Proofread by Editor, VIP Support, a slide deck, a plagiarism report or a one-page summary of the main points can be added at order time or, in some cases, requested afterward, but none of them are bundled in automatically. Choosing a specific writer for a future order works the same way. You enter their writer ID in the Preferred writer’s ID field, and the form prices that separately.
If the essay misses the mark
What you get back, and in what form, depends on where in the process things went wrong. This follows the refund table in the Terms, and nothing looser than that.
Cancel before a writer is assigned and the refund is full, no conditions attached. Cancel after a writer has started, or while the order sits on hold, and you’re looking at a refund or store credit of up to 60%, with the exact figure depending on how much work is already done and how much time is left on the clock.
A missed deadline you never agreed to falls under the same terms. Ask before you download the late paper and it is handled under that refund table. Download it first and then ask, and the outcome shifts to store credit only, up to 20%. If the deadline has passed and you agree instead to extend it, the price gets recalculated to the nearest deadline option still available, and the difference, up to 20%, comes back as a refund or credit.
Quality complaints run on a tighter clock. You have 72 hours from delivery to raise one, and it needs to point at specific problems with examples from the text itself, not a general sense that it’s not good enough. Quality Control reviews those against your original instructions. A complaint filed without specifics, or one filed after the 72 hour window, doesn’t qualify, and neither does a cancellation requested after the paper is already complete. Any store credit issued through this process is good for 365 days before it expires unused.
Editing an order down before it’s finished, trimming pages or lowering the quality level, earns store credit too, up to 50% of the difference in price, rather than a straight refund.
Before you pay
Much of what can go wrong later is settled on the order form, not in the writing itself. Before you enter a card number, check these against what you actually need.
- The paper type is set to Essay, not a nearby type like a research paper or a case study, since each has its own deadline list and page caps.
- The deadline matches when you truly need the paper, with room for you to read it before your own due date, not the due date itself.
- The page count fits inside what that deadline allows. A 3 hour order caps at 3 pages, 6 hours at 4, 12 hours at 8, 24 hours at 12, 48 hours at 19, and 3 days at 40. Longer deadlines aren’t capped this way, so if you need more pages than a short deadline allows, the form will tell you before you pay, and the fix is a longer deadline, not a workaround.
- The academic level is correct for the class, since high school, undergraduate, master’s and PhD are priced and written to differently, and if it is wrong, tell support at once, since the writer works to the level set when they were assigned.
- The instructions field states the actual rubric wording where you have it, not a summary of it in your own words.
- Any files your professor gave you, a rubric, a reading list, a source PDF, are attached, since a writer working from a thinner brief than the one you have is how an instruction gets missed later.
Get these right and the paper starts from the brief you meant to give.
Paying safely
A payment step that’s actually secure looks unremarkable. A checkout page served over an encrypted connection, a card form that asks for card details and billing information and nothing beyond that, and a final total shown before you confirm. That’s the whole list. A site that asks for your school login, your student portal password, or offers to sit a quiz or exam in your place is not a version of this service, on this site or any legitimate one, and is worth walking away from regardless of what it charges.
Your name, email address, phone number and payment details never reach the writer working on your order. The writer sees your instructions and attached files only. What data is collected at checkout is handled under the privacy policy and is not sold on.
It’s reasonable to want proof the paper is actually original before you rely on it. A plagiarism report is available as a paid add-on, issued once per finished order, and every paper is written fresh for that order and checked before delivery. No service can promise a paper will show zero similarity on every checker, since incidental overlap in common phrases happens even in original writing, and any site that promises otherwise is overstating what a checker measures.
If you need to change or cancel after paying
- Open the order in your account and check the message thread first. Small clarifications, a source you forgot to attach, a formatting note, can often be handled there directly with the writer without touching the order’s terms.
- For a change that expands the brief, a new page count, an added section, a different citation style, ask for it in writing, and it is charged as a paid editing request. The system will quote any price difference before applying it.
- For a cancellation, request it through your account or by contacting support. If no writer has been assigned yet, the refund is full and automatic. If a writer is already working, expect a refund or store credit of up to 60%, calculated against time elapsed and how much of the paper is done.
- For a paper that’s about to be late, watch for a message from support before the deadline passes. If a delay is coming, they’ll flag it in advance, and you can choose to extend the deadline (price recalculated, difference refunded or credited up to 20%) or handle it under the lateness terms in the Terms once it’s actually late.
- For a finished paper you believe fails the brief, file a quality complaint within 72 hours with specific passages and reasons, through your account. Quality Control reviews it against your original instructions and files, and any refund or credit follows from that review, not from a general request to redo the work.
Frequently asked questions
Does the price depend on the topic?
No. The order form prices an essay by deadline, page count, academic level and quality level, not by subject or how hard the topic is. A three page high school essay due in a week and a three page PhD essay due in a week are priced differently because the academic level changed, not the topic.
When exactly is my card charged?
At checkout, once the order form has your paper type, academic level, length, deadline and instructions and shows you the final quote. Nothing is charged before that quote is shown, and no writer is assigned until payment clears.
Can I get my money back if the essay is late?
If the delay was not agreed with you in advance, it falls under the refund terms in the Terms. A late paper you have not yet downloaded can qualify for a refund. One you already downloaded before asking is covered by store credit instead.
What if I just don't like the essay?
Raise it as a revision request within 14 days if it strayed from your instructions, since that's covered at no extra cost. If you believe the paper genuinely fails the brief, a quality complaint filed within 72 hours with specific examples goes to Quality Control for review.
Is store credit the same as a refund?
No. A refund returns money to your payment method. Store credit sits on your account for use on a future order and expires after 365 days if unused. Which one applies depends on the situation, laid out in the section on missed orders above.
Can I cancel before a writer starts?
Yes, and cancelling before a writer is assigned qualifies for a full refund. Once a writer is working, cancelling still returns a refund or store credit, but only up to 60%, depending on how much work is already done.
How fast can someone actually write my essay?
The essay form's shortest deadline is 3 hours, capped at 3 pages at that speed. Wider deadlines allow more pages. 12 hours goes up to 8 pages, 24 hours up to 12, 48 hours up to 19, and 3 days up to 40.
Is it safe to enter my card details on this site?
A legitimate checkout only ever asks for payment details, never your school login, and never anything to sit an exam or quiz on your behalf. Check for a secure, encrypted payment page before entering a card number, covered in the payment section above.
Will the writer know who I am?
No. The writer works from your instructions and files only. Your name, email, phone number and payment details are never shared with them, per the privacy policy.
Can I talk to the writer while the order is open?
Yes, through the message thread inside your account, which is the only channel that reaches the writer directly. WhatsApp and email go to the support team; the writer only reads the thread.
What happens if I need extra pages added after paying?
Extra pages, a changed word count or anything outside the original brief is a new request, priced and confirmed with you before it's added. A straightforward revision that stays inside your original instructions is free within the revision window.
Do I get a discount if I've ordered before?
Returning customers accumulate a lifetime loyalty discount once total pages ordered pass certain thresholds, detailed on the discounts page. There's no first-order coupon.
What can I actually do with the essay once it's delivered?
Once the order is paid in full, it's yours to use as a model for your own research and writing. It isn't published or resold. How you use it against your school's own rules is on you, and the Terms spell that out.
